Al Falah University participates in a working paper at the World Education Forum 2020 entitled Social-Emotional Skills and Education Challenges,
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Al Falah University participated in the 13th World Education Forum 2020 at the Dubai World Trade Center, organized by the Ministry of Education, with the participation of a group of educational experts officials and educators from inside and outside the country under the slogan "With passion and curiosity, minds are built."
Dr. Samer Abdel Hadi, Dean of Student Affairs, gave a workshop on emotional social skills and education challenges, during which he addressed that teaching today is in urgent need of social-emotional skills more than before. He also indicated that the educator is expected to provide emotional support to all students, and should work to develop an environment conducive to learning with warmth and care, and to set an example in self-discipline and control of emotions, mental presence and to exercise sympathy. He also highlighted the role of emotional and social skills to help the educator achieve success professionally and socially.
Dr. Abdel Hadi concluded the workshop by saying that emotional social skills have a major role in enhancing the motivation of the educator to teach. This relates to his positive behavior and to reduce behavioral problems. The educator, through the effective management and utilization of emotions, can succeed in his school setting and interact with best practices for conflict resolution.
