In response to the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to celebrate the Flag Day. The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Falah University encouraged academic and administrative staff and students to take part in the momentous occasion. The flag was raised high to signify the renewed loyalty to the leadership and belonging to the United Arab Emirates and as a tribute to the founder of this great nation, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Prof. Abdelhafid Belarbi, President, lead the whole AFU community in honoring the UAE flag as a symbol of the state’s sovereignty. He also mentioned that UAE is the first Arab country to do so and applauded the initiative to reflect on a respectful culture of upholding the country’s loyalty to its homeland.
Prof. Nasr Abbas from the College of Mass Communication said on the occasion: "Flag Day is an affirmation of the spirit of loyalty and true belonging to this country and the concept of loyalty and support to a nation through its progress and development."
